Moving on to States!

The Onaway Cardinals, under coach Steve Watson, improved their record to 48-4-3 with a win in the quarterfinals. They topped Crystal Falls-Forest Park 3-0 to qualify for the state Class D semifinals.

The Cards won by scores of 25-17, 25-10 25-13 to make the semifinals for the first time in school history.

They play five-time defending state champion Battle Creek St. Philip  Friday at 2 p.m. at the Kellogg Arena. St. Philpi defeated Leland 3-0 by scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-10.
