Clarence Bernard Platzke

Clarence Bernard “Clem” Platzke, 82, of Rogers Township passed away October 31, 2012 at Tendercare, Alpena.

He was born March 9, 1930 in Detroit to Bernard and Clara (Grzywinski) Platt. Clem served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and held the title of the tallest man in the Navy.

Clem is survived by two sisters, Margaret Morris and Norma Riehl; many nieces and nephews, Thomas (Barbara) Morris, Robert Morris, Patricia (Paul) Morris Maguire, Dr. Daniel (Dr. Margarita Pena) Morris, Jim (Janet) Riehl Jr., Michael (Kristine) Riehl, Christine (Thomas) Riehl Powers and Barbara Riehl Sheridan; great-nieces and nephews, Monica, Andrew, Michelle Alexander, Marcy, Ryan, Caitlin, Christopher and Nicholas Morris, Mary Maguire, Jim Riehl III, Joey, Jeffery, Michelle and Michael Riehl, Jackie Sheridan, Thomas Powers Jr. and Carly Powers.
