Ashley LeCureux was 11th and Hannah Materna was 13th among the 40 athletes in the girls’ race, with both earning honorable mention. Emily Estep, Megan Estep, and Carly Rasper also competed.

“The conditions were the worst I’ve ever seen in a cross country race,” said coach Marty Mix. It was a combination of rain, snow, and hail throughout. We had a good day considering those conditions.”

The cross country team will compete Saturday at the annual MITCA small school state meet Saturday at Shephard and October 26 at a MHSAA regional meet at Central Lake.
