Bell ringing ceremony for Carl D. Bradley, 50th anniversary of sinking of the ship

A special bell ringing ceremony in the Rogers City High School gymnasium commemorated a tragedy which shaped the history of the area. David Erickson, of the Great Lakes Maritime Lore Museum in Rogers City, led the event 50 years after the sinking of the ship which claimed 33 lives in November of 1958.

The St. Ignatius childrens choir, under the direction of Amy Rabeau, provided the music and special bell ringers paid tribute to the sailors.
