Huron baseball wins districts; Onaway wins softball trophy

Rogers City defended the home turf in the baseball districts while Onaway powered to a 7-1 win over the Hurons to claim the softball title.

In baseball, the Hurons shut out Harbor Light Christian 8-0 in the first game and won 10-0 over Inland Lakes in the title game. Alex Jowiak pitched six innings of shutout ball in the first game and belted a homer in the second game.

Dylan Kortman tossed a shutout in the second game.

Onaway belted five home runs in the win over the Hurons in the softball finals.
