Dirty Jobs: Biological Center episode to air November 2 on Discovery

Prepare to get dirty! The country will see what it’s like to work at the Hammond Bay Biological Center, as the crew from ?Dirty Jobs? rolls up their sleeves and gets up close and personal with creepy sea lamprey. The Biological Center is a research facility on the shores of Lake Huron, established with the aim of ridding the Great Lakes of the menace. Last June, Mike Rowe and his crew were back in northern Michigan visiting the research facility and other river locations in Presque Isle County. The show will finally air, Nov. 2 on the Discovery Channel.

Dirty Jobs is a program produced by Pilgrim Films & Television, in which host Rowe is shown performing difficult, strange, disgusting, or messy occupational duties alongside the typical employees. The show premiered with two pilot episodes in November 2003. It returned as a series on July 26, 2005. Rowe has made several trips to northern including stops at the Mackinac Bridge, Mackinac Island and the Soo Locks. Most episode feature two segments in an hour show; however, the Biological Center could get the whole hour.
