The Rogers City cross country wrapped up the regular season with a meet at Gaylord Tuesday and will be running in regional competition this Friday beginning at 4 p.m. in Ellsworth. ?I am thinking by the way we have been running lately the girls? team has a good shot to qualify for the state finals as a team. The girls are at their peak and we should run well Friday,? said coach Rob Kortman.

On the individual level senior Greta Grambau who has been leading her tea

m all season will look to do it again and qualify for the finals. Sophomore Sierra Centala has been a strong number two runner for the Hurons all season and with a good race could also qualify as an individual to run at the state meet in Brooklyn and Michigan International Speedway next Saturday, November 7.

?The region is tough for both teams but is extremely tough on the boys side,? said coach Kortman whose team has been steadily improving throughout the year. ?If Joe Sobeck and Paul Wilbert run the races of their lives they could make it to the finals, but it will be no easy task,? said coach Kortman.
