Lewandowski named fair queen

Paige Lewandowski, daughter of Mark and Denise Lewandowski of Posen, made it three years in a row a Lewandowski has won the title of Presque Fair Queen. Following in the footsteps of her sister Julia from 2007 and her first cousin Rachel in 2008, Paige won the title in the pageant conducted in a tent on the fairgrounds in Millersburg last week. She will be a sophomore at Posen High School in the fall. ?I feel very blessed. I had so much fun,? she said. ?I will have great memories and have made some new friends.?

She won the evening gown award, and did a jazz dance titled ?Sparkling Diamonds,? which was a co-winner of the talent award. Abbey Idalski took home the trophy for first runner-up, the spirit award, and the coordination award. For her talent presentation she did a ballet dance to ?You Can Let Go Now Daddy.? The daughter of Tom Idalski and Kathy Lijewski also won the ticket sales award.

Erika Kuznicki, the daughter of Irene and Jeff Kuznicki of Rogers City, shared the talent award with Lewandowski for her vocal performance of ?I Hope You Dance.? Other contestants included Myranda Anglin, Misty Curtis, Ashley Mamp and Kalene Brenner. Contestants came from all three county public high schools, Onaway, Rogers City and Posen.

Rachel Lewandowski, who will be a junior at Rogers City High School in the fall, made her farewell speech and walk before about 300 people in the packed fair tent. Tricia Selke served as master of ceremonies and was pageant director. The pageant was moved back to the fairgrounds after it was staged at the Millersburg school last year.
