The Viking baseball team had an impressive list of postseason award winners, including an academic all-state outfielder. Junior Luke Bruski hit .323 while anchoring center field for Posen this past spring, but it was his perfect grade point average (GPA) that earned him the top honor. He was ranked third in the state in Division IV. Seniors Brandon Beach and Aaron Romel also were awarded for their work in the classroom, joining Bruski on the all-region academic. Senior Tyson Klecha and junior Scott Couture were all-district academic with three after mentioned players.

The all-district players are junior Justin LaPointe (.421, 34 R, 16 RBI, 12 2B) as an infielder, Romel (.365, 28 RBI, 26 R, 5 SB) at catcher, Bruski and sophomore Shane Hentkowski (6-4, 58 IP, 73 K’s 47 W, 2.66 ERA) as a pitcher.

All-conference first team selections include: Romel, LaPointe and Couture. Klecha (32 R, 23 W, 6 SB, .354) and Hentkowski were honorable mentions.
