VFW Post 607 to host Memorial Day Parade

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 607 will be hosting their annual Memorial Day parade in Rogers City on Monday beginning at 10 a.m. The parade route runs from the Westminster Presbyterian Church parking lot to the memorial stone on the courthouse grounds where a short ceremony will be held honoring those who have served and are serving.

Following the parade and service at the stone the VFW will hold a ceremony at the Memorial Park Cemetery located on Larke Avenue in Rogers City followed by a ceremony at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery located south of Rogers City on U.S. 23. Memorial Day was designated as on official holiday in 1868. The VFW post encourages all to come out and honor those who have lost their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy as Americans each day.
