RCHS to graduate 63 in Sunday commencement

The names of 63 Rogers City High School seniors will be read Sunday as they become new alumni of the school. Principal Jamie Huber will present the students for graduation at Sunday?s commencement, which begins at 2:30 p.m. at RCHS. The RCHS band and choir, under the direction of Edward Wilbert, will present ?Star Spangled Banner,? ?Alma Mater,? ?Never Let Go,? and ?Our Lives.?

Carly Claus, daughter of Ray and Jessica Claus, will deliver the salutatory address and then Kaylee Kreft, daughter of Randy and Karen Kreft, will deliver the valedictorian?s address. Of the 63 graduate candidates, 40 are listed as honor students.

Class Night will be observed Friday at 5:30 p.m. beginning with an awards presentation by school councelor Marilyn Dimick. A 25-minute slide show of the class, produced by Amy Hughes, Samantha Brege and Blake Bruning concludes the evening at RCHS. A dinner with the traditional class history, prophecy and giftatory is set for the Rogers City Senior Center at 7:30 p.m. The program at the Senior Center is for the Class of 2009 only.
