Citizens National Bank assists City of Onaway in receiving housing funds

Through the efforts of Citizens National Bank, the Northeast Michigan Affordable Housing, Inc. (NEMAH) has received a grant in the amount of $50,000.00 from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBI).

The money awarded is intended for qualified homeowners in the city of Onaway whose household income is equal to or less than 80% of the area median income.

Several types of repairs or improvements are eligible. ?This funding is important to the citizens of Onaway.? noted Citizens National Bank president & CEO Jim Conboy. ?The city is making great strides, and this neighborhood funding program goes hand in hand with what the community is accomplishing.?

This is the third grant Citizens National Bank has secured from the FHLBI to use in Onaway. In 2004, the grant amount awarded was $120,000.000, and during 2005 the grant total was $65,000.00. A total of 14 homes were rehabilitated with this grant money.
