Toys for Kids and Onaway Goodfellows coordinate donations

Onaway’s Toys For Kids once again coordinated their shopping list from names on the annual Goodfellows stocking tree and family food project. There were around 80 families this year, with nearly 200 children.

The Toys For Kids group shopped for 65 children who had not had their name “adopted” from the Goodfellow stocking tree because the names were too late.

Toys For Kids was created when members of JD Tucker Pistol Club and Black Lake Sportsman’s Club wanted to make sure all the children who had names on that tree would be getting a gift.

The shopping group made their annual trip to Cheboygan K-Mart, as once again the store was able to offer a substantial discount which helps extend dollars budgeted per child.
