Soo takes pair from Hurons

Chelsie Brege led the team in scoring with 12 while Laura Konieczny and Dana Fairbanks had six each. For the Soo, Ashley Arbic had 19 of her game-high 25 points in the first half. Last Thursday, the Hurons lost by two points for the second time in a week as Rudyard came away with a 36-34 win over Rogers City. The Hurons had the ball in the closing seconds but could not get the shot to fall. The Bulldogs led 18-16 at halftime.

Konieczny had 12 points while Jenny Fleming, Tiffiny Krueger and Fairbanks had six points each. The JV team had no better luck, losing to Sault Ste. Marie 77-7 Tuesday and 51-41 to Rudyard. In the Rudyard game Anna Wickersham scored 13 points to pace the scoring attack. The Hurons host Alcona Thursday at RCHS.
