Weekend of activities to be found at the county fair
A full schedule of events is planned this weekend as the Presque Isle County fair gets underway in Millersburg. The events started Thursday (August 25) with a petting zoo, pie and ice cream social, small animal and exhibit judging, free rides, and the queen?s pageant. Friday brings large animal judging, opening of the exhibits to the public, mechanical bull riding, the chicken drop contest, and the demolition derby.
It?s also ?Seniors Day? with the first 100 seniors receiving a free popcorn. Saturday brings another full day of events which include the Millersburg Eagles bake sale and chicken dinner, garden tractor pull, heavy horse pull, livestock auction, mud bog, and musical entertainment at 7 p.m. Saturday also is ?Family Free Day? as the first 100 kids will receive free finger ID printing kits.
A horse speed show will take place on Sunday along with the antique fair show, and the tractor raffle and cash drawings. Sunday is ?Patriotic Day? with the first 100 kids receiving red, white, and blue pencils. All the events will take place at the fairgrounds in Millersburg.
