Blood drive moved to Senior Center

Site for the American Red Cross blood drive will move to the Rogers City Senior Center beginning with the next drive. According to organizer Jack Smitka, the move will be permanent, moving from Westminster Presbyterian Church to the Senior Center for the March 7 blood drive.

“The Presbyterian church has been so nice in allowing us to use their facility for the past 12 years,” Smitka said. The reason for the change, Smitka said, is the Senior Center is a larger facility with access all on one floor. Donors can just walk in without having to go up and down stairs, he said. The March 7 drive is from noon until 5:45 p.m. Appointments to donate can be made by calling Jack or M. J. Smitka at 734-2149 or by showing up on the day of the drive.
