Sheriff’s report week 5004

The sheriff’s department continues to investigate the break-ins of the TNT Bar in Belknap Township, which occurred November 22 and 23. According to Sgt. Larry Kierzek, sheriff’s deputies are following up on a couple of leads, but nothing that has led them to a suspect in the case.

The TNT break-ins are believed to be related to the illegal entry of the Knights of Columbus Hall across the road and other similar establishments in Cheboygan and Alpena counties. While officers don’t believe it’s connected with the break-ins, the TNT was victimized again over the weekend with the theft of beer advertising banners from the outside of the building. The manager of the bar reported the missing signs last Friday. The case remains under investigation.
