Junior High Heroes rewarded with trip to Frankenmuth
The Rogers City Junior High Huron Heroes enjoyed a trip to Frankenmuth on Friday, November 5. In order to be a Huron Hero, students must earn 100 or more points on combined grades and conduct. The fun-filled day began with a delicious chicken dinner luncheon at the famous Zehnders Restaurant. Students then went shopping at River Town in downtown Frankenmuth.
They were able to go through a maze of mirrors, play in a huge game arcade, and browse the shops. Other sights downtown included a couple of Santa’s reindeer, horses and buggies, a covered bridge, and plenty of Christmas decorations. The trip concluded with a stop at Bronner’s, the world’s largest Christmas store.
A 22-minute historical presentation titled “The World of Bronner’s” was shown to the students and then they were able to do some Christmas shopping.
